About
My name is Paul V Griffin
Private Training
In 2023, after being approached by multiple players with requests for technical skill development in a private training environment, I began to provide individual training sessions to help players build confidence, skill and physical, mental and emotional balance to help them succeed in soccer. In 2024, I provided private training services through a third-party platform, and in 2025, created Evergreen Training Service as an LLC, which allows me to work directly with clients, without additional service charges and reduced rates, in an effort to establish equitable experiences.
1001 Touch Training
As a soccer coach, player and adult and youth learning & development professional, I have developed a structured approach to building soccer knowledge and skill and proficiency through a program I call 1001 Touch Training. This program focuses on developing consistent training foundations that build off of a soccer player's first touch. Creating a safe environment both physically and psychologically is the most critical element of 1001 Touch Training. For a player to develop, they must be able to make mistakes, fail fast and learn how to adjust quickly, make proactive decisions and work with other players, coaches and personnel to build chemistry both on and off the field. While learners will focus on developing knowledge and skills that can be used in soccer, many of the outcomes I teach are applicable to successfully navigating social circles in academics, in the workforce and within the community.

Soccer Bio

As a youth player, my father (Dave Griffin) encouraged soccer, having played for UW-Green Bay as a striker. I started playing recreational soccer in elementary school for the East Troy Soccer Club, then for Sheboygan Area Youth Soccer Organization (SAYSO). In middle school, I played for the Milwaukee Kickers, and was a guest player for the Sheboygan United SC tournament team. I continued to play for both squads through high school. In high school, I played an attacking winger role for Sheboygan North High School JV and Varsity squads. In college, I played one season in the University of Wisconsin System Extension soccer league for UW-Green Bay (previously UW-Sheboygan). As a transfer student to UW-Milwaukee, I played two seasons in the UWM intramural league and Sheboygan United U30 indoor team until suffering a severe ankle injury. In 2023, I helped to start the Lakeshore United Men’s Team 1 & 2 (reserves) as a player/coach, leading team one to a runner-up finish in the NW Soccer League in 2023. In 2024, I helped the Lakeshore I team capture the Noel Messou Cup, followed by NW Soccer League Division 1 2025 Champion, NW Soccer League Division 2 Champion and Wisconsin Challenge Cup 2025 runner-up. Due to the teams performance in 2025, both teams were promoted to the MKE Premiere League. I have also played for teams in 30+ leagues at Uihlien and Elmbrook 30+ soccer leagues, with multiple league titles for indoor and outdoor teams.
